Lillian’s Statement on the Exhibition:

My work is inspired by the hard work and determination of these women and some of the situations I witnessed there in Hwedza. In my work, I'm showing their day-to-day life situations as they go through life trying to make ends meet in providing for their children. One of the artworks is also showing the efforts being made to make life a bit easier for them, with innovations like the hambas which seems to be a very empowering project for them.
